Change is a good thing.  Sometimes our programs become golden calfs and we forget to reflect back in order to assess how the Spirit is moving and how the truths of the Gospel can best be displayed.

After some reflection and the help (no small amount of it) from the providence of God.  Compassion Connect has started helping see 5 local churches carry out a monthly small medical/foot/ and hopefully dental clinic.   It has the same heart, collaborative spirit, and one on one volunteer care as a full-size Compassion Clinic event...but it is hundreds of times smaller.

This does a number of things that appear to be advancing God's kingdom in new ways.

• It gets the Compassion Connect equipment out of a storage unit and used on a more regular basis
• It allows for a small group of volunteers from multiple churches work together on a small less daunting event
• It allows for much closer connection with the guests
• It is consistent which means better outreach opportunities and relationship building steps.

We are hoping and praying that God continues this ministry and the Clinic 2.0 model spreads just as rapidly as the Compassion Clinic model.

We are excited to launch the new Compassion Rockwood 2009 video.  It is a new updated script that specifically communicates the bigger vision of churches working together to serve in the name of Christ.  Our hope is that this video will inspire and motivate other communities all over the country to start planning the same type of event.  This is a movement....not a business...or a money making scheme.  This is God's hand at work calling His Church to work together and reach a hurting broken world
