The following video debuted at our first annual banquet, Compassion Renewed. Produced by AM Studios (Dave Schrenk), it gives us a beautiful glimpse into the impact you and others have had on our community. Enjoy!

We want to thank those who took the time to share about the value and vision of Compassion Connect.  They are from all walks of life...both those serving and those being served.  At little taste of how people from every tongue and tribe will glorify God who works so powerfully through all of us who open the door!

We are excited to launch this video that has been in the works since June 2009.  It was publicly launched Oct 24th at the first ever Compassion Connect banquet.  It recieved an incredibly warm response. We want to thank Dan Johnson at Panda Motion and Kathie Kenway, the script writer.

We sat down for hours of pounding through the script and they had to put up with a type A personality in the executive director.

The final product is exciting and we feel that is accurately communicates who we are and what we are doing.

Please check it out...leave a comment...and share the video with others.

In the Summer of 2009 the city of Portland came alive through the love of churches.  Not that it was dead before, but it has never been alive in this kind of collaborative "love your neighbor as yourself" kind of way.   It has caught the attention of USA Today, Readers Digest, and now CBN.

The above video was done by Paul Strand.  He did a great job.  One of the questions he asked me that didn't make it in the final cut is an important one.

"Is this cutting edge Christianity?"

I said absolutely NOT.  It can't be a cutting edge will become dull and wear down.  It can't be a fad that fades away.  This has to be plain and simple Christianity.
